The last few weeks I have been trying to push my distance running further.
I’m running 3 days a week with one of them a 2 hour run.
I’m also going to the gym once a week to try and build up my strength.
As the furthest distance I have covered so far is 13 miles, I am concerned that I am unprepared.
I was hoping to be able to cover 22 miles before running in Paris, though due to time commitments of work and how early it still goes dark, I have been unable to commit as much time to training as I would like.
I suppose that most people are having the same issues with their training as me so I can’t really complain.
The last week before the run I am stocking up on carbohydrates and other fatty foods.
I admit that I ate a whole chocolate cake over 2 days. Not sure if this is official training procedure but it was nice.
No running this week as I believe I am supposed to rest.
Tickets all organised on the Eurostar to get to Paris and Hostel booked.
All that’s left now is actually doing it.
Bring on the run.
